Our major complaint was that PC releases and support lagged so far behind Mac. Additionally, the efficiency of team communication is greatly increased by the multi-user features combined with cloud sync. For a church that uses SongSelect for lyrics and other purposes, the SongSelect integration is unquestionably the most helpful feature. I adore how different media platforms and source types are combined. ProPresenter needs to pay close attention to its user base and identify the key problems with the program. Slideshows or other media content can be displayed with ProPresenter for church live events or displays, but there are a number of quirks, flaws, and faults with this program as well as crucial capabilities that are hidden under tiny buttons that need to be resolved. The user interface and integrated content resources were the two key factors in the switch, among others. I switched over as soon as I learned about ProPresenter. However, it had drawbacks of its own, just like the majority of presenting software. I had been using MediaShout for a while and first thought it was great. While it may not be a lot, the possibility of a very small congregation or international audiences not being able to afford it, is a likelihood. The barrier to entry is probably the price and yearly subscription. This is far ahead of what the competition offers at the moment. The ability to integrate it with our present music production software (Ableton Live) is what made it possible to automate our audio and lighting scenes. Having the ability to add and subtract layers on the fly is another great advantage of using this great software. The biggest advantage of using ProPresenter for us was the ability to have multiple outputs to multiple displays. Using ProPresenter to integrate into our current production rig, saves us both time and resources. Given that most services depend on volunteers, it was becoming increasingly difficult to have the manpower required to run these different systems. If you do tech at your church or you use computers to advance your church’s mission, this show is for you.Whether you're a gathering of 6 or 60,000 people, ProPresenter scales very well!įrom the time we decided to take the plunge to having used it for years now, working on ProPresenter has been such a great delight. This show started with Renewed Vision’s ProPresenter software, but might include Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, or any of the other web services that churches might use. Join the conversation call 1-87, leave a comment below the video, or hit me up on Twitter you’d like to chip in a few bucks, anything you do is appreciated. Now, tell me a story about a time you really needed this in the comments below. It’s pretty easy and often solves problems, at least temporarily. If you “Keep Both”, the new one will have a number added to the end. Tell it to either “Replace” it or “Keep Both”. Now, it should tell you that there’s already a version of ProPresenter there. Drag that version of ProPresenter onto the shortcut in the folder for the applications folder. Once downloaded, it should mount a drive on your desktop that has two things in it. Click that and it will expand out to show previous versions. You’ll see a triangle to the left of the word “version”. If you don’t have the previous version go to /pro_download.php and scroll down to “Version History”. That way, even if you have internet issues (or Renewed Vision does), you can revert. If there’s no update or if it doesn’t fix the problem, the best strategy is to always keep the previous dmg file on your computer. Check to see if you do have the latest version by clicking on “ProPresenter 6” in the top of the screen and then “Check for updates.” I’d always try to do an update first. Renewed Vision is pretty responsive and they may have already fixed the issue in a new, new update. First, it could be that you don’t need to downgrade at all.
